About Us
"vom
Sonnenhügel" is a small hobby kennel and
our focus is on working and competing with our Dogs. We will only breed a litter when we want to
produce a new generation for ourselves, so we will not have puppies available
very often. Because we don’t have
litters available all the time, our puppy warranty reflects a monitary refund rather than
replacement pup.
My commitment to the breed
is to strive to produce the soundest dogs possible while following the Breed Standards
set by the SV. We are striving to
produce dogs with outstanding temperament and character, while maintaining
working ability and soundness. My dogs
live in the house and are companions first, competition dogs second.
I am a member of the Aztec
Schutzhund Club in Ramona, California and a member of both USCA and GSDCA-WDA
organizations. I work my dogs and
compete with them in local and Regional trials.
Our litters are born and
raised in the house, not a kennel. They play outside, inside and with the other
dogs. We expose them to as much as we can and begin
crate training at 7-8 weeks with each pup learning to eat and sleep in their
own crate. I believe this helps makes
the transition to their new home easier.
Even before birth, we have tried to do our best for our pups to ensure
that they will be wonderful additions to their new families.
I am very concerned with the
dogs I am producing and want to be kept informed of how they are doing. I welcome being updated and am available 24/7
to my puppy buyers with questions or concerns.
I am also very concerned with the health and soundness of my puppies and
encourage my buyers to make sure to get the pups hips and elbows x-rayed and
certified when they are 2 years old.
